The 2023 Erie Hot Air Balloon Festival!
The Erie Chamber’s 2023 Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held this year on June 9-11 launching from the Future Community Park area in Colliers Hill directly west of Erie High School. You’ll want to wake up early and grab your lawn chairs and blankets to watch two dozen hot air balloons lift off to the clouds!
The launch event, Friday-Sunday, June 9, 10 and 11, will begin at 6:00 a.m. with pilots filling their balloons and taking off until about 8:00 a.m., WEATHER PERMITTING, at the lot off Colliers Parkway. Parking is limited at the two schools (Erie High School and Soaring Heights PK-8) but there will be off site parking north of CR 10 and . For residents, walking and biking might be the best bets to get to and from the launch site.
No parking will be allowed along CR5 and please note: pets are NOT allowed on the launch area – and neither is smoking.
Spectators are welcome to chat with the balloon pilots while the enormous balloons inflate, and snap forever photo-memories of this special up-close and in-person event.
More than 2500 visitors are expected on Saturday, so plan to arrive EARLY! And again, please leave your dogs and cigarettes at home.
