BEYOND BOOTLEGGING
The Louisville Public Library’s version of a Ted Talk, this informative and fascinating discussion will reveal how Louisville became a hotbed of Ku Klux Klan activity in the 1920s. Boulder County was also a hotbed of bootlegging and gained a reputation as an “Italian place.” Museum staff member Jason Hogstad will explain the ways in which Prohibition and the KKK shaped Louisville’s racial and ethnic demography. Registration is not required.

ALICIA KEYS WORLD TOUR
Born in 1981, in New York, Alicia Keys began piano lessons at age 7. At age 15, after graduating from the Professional Performance Arts School, she signed a deal with Clive Davis, the head of Arista Records. Davis left Arista to start J Records and Keys followed. Her debut album, Songs in A Minor (2001), went platinum five times over and earned her five Grammys. She followed up with hit albums such as The Diary of Alicia Keys (2003), As I Am (2007) and Girl on Fire (2009), all of which won Best Artist Grammys. In 2016, Keyes became a judge on Season 11 of The Voice and has appeared in three seasons of the hit singing competition series. Denver is one stop on the singer’s world tour offering a night of singular entertainment not to be missed!

BLUE SKY: ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND TRIBUTE
Formed over 9 years ago, award winning My Blue Sky is comprised of 7 experienced Colorado musicians that all share the passion and love of the music of The Allman Brothers Band (and family of bands).
The Allman Brothers Band created a unique blend of southern rock, blues, and jazz that have inspired musicians and fans for decades. Their music and performances have created memories for everyone and have stood the test of time. It is in that spirit that My Blue Sky honors their music – and they honor it well. My Blue Sky has placed First two years in a row (2014 and 2015) at Leftapalooza the Mile High Tribute Band Competition, and they have earned the support and approval of Gregg Allman himself. Westword also honored My Blue Sky in their list of Top 10 Tribute Bands in Colorado.

THE INTERVENTION
This is the premier of a comical look into the mind of Rick Gold as he copes with the sudden death of his father by manifesting a new and unexpected friend — as his mother, and twin sister decide to do what they can to intervene.
This comedy “about grief and mental health,” is the second of three plays by local Longmont playwright, Marq Del Monte. Be watching for the announcement of play number three, “Chances” coming in the not too distant future.

STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE
“… I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.” After the loss of her family home to creditors, Blanche DuBois travels from the small town of Laurel, Mississippi, to the New Orleans French Quarter to live with her younger married sister, Stella, and Stella’s husband, Stanley Kowalski. Blanche is in her 30s and, with no money, has nowhere else to go.
Blanche tells Stella that she has taken a leave of absence from her English-teaching position because of her nerves. Blanche laments the shabbiness of her sister’s two-room flat. She finds Stanley loud and rough, eventually referring to him as “common”. Stanley, in return, is suspicious of Blanche’s motives, and does not care for her manners. From the first scene, Blanche is jittery, nervous and reluctant to appear in bright light. What appears to be Blanche’s drinking problem fuels conflict in the Kowalski home and no one escapes her criticism and deception!

SULLIVAN KING LIVE
Sullivan King makes music to rage to. As a producer, guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter he fuses dubstep and rock creating his own space in the electronic and alternative scenes. Sullivan King’s unique live show finds the artist shredding on guitar, singing, DJing, and jumping into the pit. After finishing up his recent Loud & Reckless NA tour celebrating the release of his debut album LOUD, the King has a summer full of festivals including Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza Paris, Hard Summer, and Ilesoniq to name a few. COMEDY IN THE BOE: END OF SUMMER SHOW
Zoe Rogers, creator of the Boulder Comedy Festival, is back hosting Dairy Comedy in The Boe! And she’s bringing you another great and diverse selection of very funny comics. ShaNae Ross is just goofy for no reason! This native of Oklahoma has been in a relationship with comedy since 2006 and was a finalist in The New Face Comedy Competition 2017 for Comedy Works. Born and Raised in Memphis TN, Derrick Rush joined the Navy saw the world and after retirement from the Navy in 2009, moved to Denver to pursue a civilian career: stand-up comedy. He’s now a regular at The Denver Improv and Comedy Works, where he took third place in the renowned New Faces Competition.

SUMMER ART WALK
Join art lovers from north of Denver in the last Art Walk of the Summer, now in one easy to access location. BOULDER MAGIC SHOW
Ben Young has thrilled audiences worldwide with his fresh spin on the typical magic show. Forget the rabbits and sequins and join Ben in an upbeat show that focuses on a fun group experience! Find out why Ben was hand-picked to appear on the hit CW TV show Penn & Teller: Fool Us, has performed for the troops at 30+ military bases, and is a frequent guest performer in major casinos on the Las Vegas Strip!
Offstage, Ben is just your average, nerdy, magic, part-time superhero. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and is a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and dabbles with the ukulele. Hosted by comedian Braden Carlisle, is the curator of the show and a lover of all things magic. Braden is also a published author of the magic theory book “Agree to Disagree” and hosts a weekly magic podcast titled “Awesome People Talking”.

BIRDERS INVITED!
Beginning birders are invited to experience the fun and discovery of birdwatching at Greenlee Wildlife Preserve located in the NW section of Waneka Lake Park. Knowledgeable birdwatchers will be on hand the first Sunday of every month with binoculars and spotting scopes bringing the world of birds alive.
Learn how to use binoculars while field guides teach how to recognize bird species through sound. Youth must be accompanied by adults; suitable for all ages. No RSVP required. Greenlee Wildlife Preserve is a nationally recognized wetland where thousands of birds flock each year to take advantage of its rich biological and ecological habitat.
