Thank a Vet This Veterans Day!

The original Veterans Day commemorated the end of the first World War. When President Dwight D. Eisenhower proclaimed it a national holiday, he also called on Americans everywhere to rededicate themselves to the cause of peace. There are nearly 20 million vets living in the U.S. today, from every walk of life, and this day is set aside to “honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.”

Halloween Happenings Near Erie!

Eerie Erie: The Halloween Race!

The Eerie Erie is a community race held in Erie on October 27, the Saturday before Halloween. It’s both a serious and a fun run that attracts runners from all over the state, many of them wearing their Halloween best. Since 1982 the Optimists Club of Erie, which was founded to “aid and encourage the development of youth,” has been planning and coordinating this community race. Each year it gets bigger and better and takes an army of volunteers to pull off, says Joanne Pastor, President and Chairman of the Optimists Club.

The New PK-8 School in Erie!

Entries to the Seasons of Colliers Hill photo contest will be accepted between Monday, April 2 and midnight on Monday, April 30.

Send your photos via email to Jessica at the HOA (Professional Community Management Services) at corpoffice@pcms.net. Include your name, email address and phone number, noting when and where you took the photo and who appears in it.

All submissions must have an accompanying Colliers Hill Photo Release to be eligible for prizes. Request one from Jessica at corpoffice@pcms.net.

Exhibit at The Overlook

Entries collected by the Colliers Hill Homeowners Association will be judged during the first week of May by members of the Colliers Hill Marketing Co-Op. Prize winners will be notified by email and phone, and winning photos (plus worthy honorable mentions!) will be placed on exhibit at The Overlook, promoted in social media, and published on the Colliers Hill website!
