The walls are up, the roof is on, the concrete floors are polished and the final touches are being added to the new Soaring Heights PK-8 School in Erie. The building stands on a 22-acre site, with 131,000 square feet that will contain two gyms, four music rooms, an impressive stage, media center and two “maker spaces”.
For Stephanie and Dan Golovach, growing up in small towns was one of the attractions that drew them to Colliers Hill; they wanted to be close to Denver, and liked the small-town feel of Erie – so close by.
“We like going to the restaurants and theater in Denver,” says Stephanie Golovach, mom to daughter Mila, 2, and son Danny, 6, “but my husband and I grew up in rural, small towns, and we were both looking for that in Colorado. Erie was the perfect solution.”
